Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is hypo-allergenic?
A: Webster's dictionary defines hypo-allergenic as: designed to minimize the likeli-
hood of an allergenic response, as by containing few or no potentially irritating sub-
stances. Another definition is: not likely to cause an allergic reaction.
Q: Are Pure'ity™ products safe to use on color-treated hair?
A: Yes, you can confidently use our products without stripping the color.
Q: Are your products safe for the environment?
A: Yes. Our formulas and our sample packaging are biodegradable and our bottles are recyclable.
Q: Which hair types will your products work best on?
A: Our products were created for multi-ethnic hair.
Q: I have chemical and fragrance sensitivities, will your products work on me?
A: Our products are safe for people with sensitivities (scalp and skin) to chemicals and fragrances. However with any product, conduct a patch test (behind ear or wrist) to determine an allergic reaction before applying to your hair.
Q: How long have your products been on the market?
A: We launched our products in 2008. In 2005 through 2006 we conducted market testing using product samples and surveys, to confirm the need in the market for our products.
Q: I have dry, damaged hair. Will your products help to restore the shine and repair the damage?
A: First, I would have to question how often you're washing your hair and what type of products you're using. If you're washing your hair too frequently and you're using products that have harsh ingredients, they may be the culprit. The results we received from our market testing states the following: Our products restore and moisturize dry, damaged hair, detangles the hair, leaving hair manageable and smelling "clean". It is especially noted that hair is also free of any 'synthetic' fragrance that can cause an allergic reaction.
